Infinity Ward, the creators of the Modern Warfare series have been around for years making us the gamers happy with their excellent string of games that have given millions of gamers a new home. Unannounced to us, the IW team has had a recent struggle leading to a large portion of their staff leaving to form their own new game!
Local Game Stop Officials discussed the undisclosed information to me today. Infinity Ward as a company has made millions off their titles:
Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2.
The creation and programming team of these games has wanted to produce different styles of games since the creation of the MW series. Infinity Ward as a company barred them from producing anything other than the Modern Warfare games. Any games they wanted to produce would be declined and dismissed under contract.
The Game Stop Officials informed me that a large portion of the Infinity Ward Staff (creators of MW) recently left the company due to their limitations of their ability to create new titles.
Where did they go you ask??
Well sources dictate that EA (electronic arts) Studios has decided to take these ex-IW staff members under their wing to produce a new upcoming title for them that has yet to be disclosed! EA believes that due to the nature and vast knowledge of the creators of Modern Warfare and the Infinity Ward name, the new staff creators will be able to produce the next biggest thing on the market possibly beating out the Modern Warfare Games.
Could this be the decline of the Modern Warfare Series? Or is this a new chance for us as gamers to see something with new great potential in the next year?
